When I set out on my path to find success in my coding career many years ago, I didn't know I would end up here. At that time, no one could see my value. My attitude was terrible. I thought I deserved something for merely showing up and doing the job. That couldn't have been further from the truth.
I learned that success is the attainment of your potential. Ultimately you define success and become successful through your network, processes, plan & much more.
Over five years ago, I put what I believe to be an excellent plan together. I wanted a process that would get me out of the slow lane and into the Fast lane of my career. What happened to me after implementing this plan was something that forever changed my view on success.
Every move I made in this plan resulted in recognition. Even as I was gaining this recognition I was bombarded with people telling me to accept this as enough. I was faced with a lack of belief from my family, friends, and even the company that was gaining results from my achievements. However, I didn't let that stop me. I continue moving through the steps of my plan and provided so much value to my company they promoted me from software developer to senior developer to principal developer in 3 years.
I want to show you how not to let your anyone define your career, and to discover what success looks like for you. I know many developers struggle to gain that recognition they deserve, I want to help each of them achieve success.
I invite you to join me in the fast lane.
